Scoffone research activity
• Studies on the transcriptional regulation of NAD biosynthesis in Bacillus subtilis, carryng out in vivo studies on the NAD biosyntetic pathways, in particular on the NiaR regulator, where site direct mutagenesis was applied. Recombinant NiaR and NiaR mutants were expressed and purifiyed in E. coli cell. The NAD pathways of selected mutants was evaluated in vivo, by extensive microbiological techniques, and in vitro by biochemical assays.
