Lomoio Selene, born in Pavia on 27/10/1984.
· June 2003 - Scientific maturity at the “Torquato Taramelli” grammar school of Pavia.
· February - September 2005 - Stage in the laboratory of “Neurochemistry and Molecular Medicine”, team leader Prof. R.F. Villa, Department of Pharmacological Sciences, University of Pavia.
· November 2006 - Graduated in Human Biology and Biomedical Sciences, University of Pavia, Department of Animal Biology, Laboratory of Cell Biology and Neurobiology, team leader Prof. E. Scherini. Thesis title: Expression of SAPK/JNK protein kinase in the brain of Ts65Dn mice.
· April - September 2007 – Stage in the laboratory of “Clinical Neuropsicology”, team leader Dr. E. Sinforiani, Clinical Institute “Casimiro Mondino”, Pavia.
· September 2008 - Graduated in Neurobiology cum laude, University of Pavia, Department of Animal Biology, Laboratory of Cell Biology and Neurobiology, team leader Prof. E. Scherini. Thesis title: Oxidative stress and axonal abnormalities in cerebellar Purkinje cell of the Ts65Dn mouse.
· November 2010 – Juny 2011 - “Departamento de Patologķa y Terapéutica Experimental de la Facultad de Medicina, Universidad de Barcelona” , team leader Prof. Isidro Ferrer Abizanda.
· Present position – III year PhD student in Cell Biology at University of Pavia, Department of Animal Biology, Laboratory of Cell Biology and Neurobiology, supervisor Prof. E. Scherini.
· Award – FENS travel grants for the partecipation in the “7th FENS Forum, Amsterdam, 2010”.
