Paolini research activity
Forms of astrocyte cell death in cancer cells.
Will be studied various forms of cell death due to 1) treatment with ionizing radiation (gamma rays, protons) and / or chemotherapy (temozolomide, ACNU), 2) cytotoxic effects of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPS of 15/18nm and 10nm).
As experimental models will be used the following business lines: T98G, U251, U87, MOG-G-UVW astrocytic gliomas compared with normal cells. The methods used are traditional methods of morphological, cytochemical and immunocytochemical, western blotting, flow cytometry, cytotoxic tests
The work is done in collaboration with the Department of Physics "A. Time, "University of Pavia, Pavia INFN. IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo Dip and Dip Oncohematology Health Physics of Complex Structures of Radiation Oncology. CNAO Pavia. Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier, Université Montpellier II, Montpellier, France
